It's still my favorite place to go. I've been going here when it first open 10+ years ago. I gate keep this place from outsiders. Food like bun bo hue and banh beo is impressive. I would usually get banh beo with nem nuong cuon. Goi cuon is good here too. Service is fast and it's a casual place. It's kind of wheelchair accessible. People would have to scoot their chairs in to make room for you but I've seen it done before.

Ever since I could remember, my family would go to eat at Hue. They've always welcomed us with such friendliness and the quality of the food has always been amazing. Back then, my sister and I would split two servings of banh béo, and my parents would each order a bowl of bun bo hue, a chè ba màu, and some tea. Now 15 years later we order 4 bowls of bun bo hue, a plate of banh ram it, and still two mandatory servings of banh béo! When my non-Vietnamese friends want a San Jose recommendation or want to try the cuisine, this is automatically my go to spot and it's never disappointed! It's a nice place that's always bustling and is never empty. Very clean and nice decor before and after their renovations a few years back. Quick and high quality service, and my parents always love to catch up with the owner and staff! When the restaurant is full, we still sign in and wait it out instead of going to any other restaurant in the plaza. It's a very special place worth trying!

This is probably the busiest restaurant in SJ that specializes in Central Vietnamese food. Hue referees to the central region of Vietnam. There's usually always a line on weekends, but we went during the weekday; so it was fine. Com Tam thịt nướng (5/5): im not too big of a central Vietnamese food fan due to their small portion size, so I got this. It was very plentiful and comforting. The meat was a bit dryer than expected and the rice was dry too. Definitely get this if you just want get full. Vegetarian Banh rat (5/5): I think this was way better than the non-vegetarian version and blew my mind. It had the perfect balance of the crunchy batter on the bottom with the soft and chewy dough. Everything was so chewy flavorful. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

The hype is real. My wife couldn't wait to take me here to try their famous starter, Bánh Bèo, ground shrimp over rice cake! It's delicious and goes perfect with their sweet fish sauce & jalapeños. These are addicting! It's a set of 5 for around $6. The cake is almost mochi-textured like and has a nice gluten taste. We also ordered their Bún Bò Huẽ, which is spicy noodle soup with beef shank, tendon, ham, pork and blood cubes. This is delicious especially with squeezed lime and the slaw toppings on top. I recommend coming here during off peak hrs which is the weekday during down time. I'd avoid the lunch rush hrs as well. If you're coming on the weekends, expect a line. Inside is clean with lots of employees doing their part taking orders, cleaning tables, serving, etc. it's a quick paced restaurant so expect some type of high intense vibe. I want to come back again and try more! Huge thanks to my wife for taking me!

Took my parents to Hue since they were craving SJ Vietnamese food. I got the canh bun crab paste noodles - so good! Was craving their thick noodles with broth. And took leftovers home. My dad got the shaken beef with vegetables only - he said the beef was very tender. And my mom got the bun (vermicelli) bowl with all egg rolls. Our server was patient answering my parents questions and customizing their orders. The noodle bowls are around 15$ and we took home leftovers - so worth it. My mom liked the booths, decor and AC on a hot day :) Still one of, if not my favorite spot in SJ for Vietnamese food (northern variety).

Hue Restaurant is bomb! I remember when I first tried this place like a decade ago, I was a Bun Bo Hue An Nam stan - no one could convince me any other spot could make as good a bun bo hue. But over the past year, my family has started going to Hue Restaurant instead, and I am a total convert! The bun bo hue here is perfectly spicy, beefy, and savory. Savory is key cause I hate when the broth of my savory noodle soups end up tasting too sweet! And it comes with so much noodles and meat. When I went back to An Nam recently, the soup tasted way too sweet and there was barely any beef T_T But my fave dish at Hue Restaurant is def the banh beo! Which is shocking because I grew up hating fish sauce and I always said banh beo is basically a vessel for inhaling fish sauce. I know, everyone in my Viet-Chinese fam thinks I'm insane. But around a year ago, I tried the banh beo here WITH fish sauce, and it is amazinggg! So soft, so smooth, and nice and savory with the nice crunch of the pork rind. Still the only spot where I will willingly eat fish sauce! No one can tell me otherwise!

Bussin' Bun Bo Hue! The best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had and it's not even close. Located at Silver Creek Road at the Paloma Plaza, this restaurant is filled with workers and customers enjoying the delicious food this establishment has to offer. We started off with the Banh Beo as an appetizer, which was rice cake toppled with ground shrimp and crispy pork skin. They gave us 5 of each and it's perfect if you came here in a group. The star of the show was the Bun Bo Hue. The broth, meat, and overall taste was incredibly rich and filling. Words cannot describe how good this was, I'd just suggest you all reading my reviews to go over to Hue and try it yourself!

Date: Thursday, July 4th, 2024 Party of: 2 Meal: Late Lunch / Early Dinner Delivery How: DoorDash DoubleDash Time Ordered: around 3:15pm Time Arrived: around 4:15pm Delivered to: Evergreen *Bún Bò Huế ($16.50) *Mì Quãng ($16.50) *Bánh Bèo ($6.95) *Bún Thịt Nướng ($16.50) I was craving Bun Bo Hue. When I realized I never tried Hue Restaurant, I figured let's give it a shot. Plus it's in a plaza with a boba tea spot and I was craving that as well. I got the banh beo since that seems to be the thing to order here. Even delivered it was good. Good amount of dried shrimp, tho I could have used more jalapeños. Added sambal for a kick. The bun bo hue broth could have used more flavor, but I was able to add 4 different hit sauces to give it some heat and savoriness. The noodles however were waaay overcooked. Maybe from transit? I'm not a huge noodle person anyways, so it didn't bother me. I did adore how much veggies they provided with the noodle soup. Since there wasn't much meat. The hubby typically likes straight up #1 pho. They don't offer it here, so he decided to try the mi quang. The broth was more tomatoey than he expected, but add a bunch of hot sauces and it cuts into the sweetness. He always orders the bun thit nuong, so that was as expected. I've had this place bookmarked for a while, so glad I finally tried this spot. REVIEW #3483
